Ronald J. Gilbert (“Ron”) is cofounder and President of ESOP Services, Inc., an international consulting firm specializing in all aspects of Employee Stock Ownership Plan applications for private and public companies.  The firm’s clients are in a majority of the United States, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.  

Ron Gilbert holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and a Master of Financial Services from The American College.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors of The National Center for Employee Ownership, the Legislative and Regulatory Advisory Committee of The ESOP Association, and the Board of Directors of three ESOP companies:  ComSonics, Inc., Harrisonburg, VA; and Parkline, Inc., Winfield, WV, and RCF Information Systems, Inc., Dayton, OH, and on the advisory board of the private equity firm, South Franklin Street Partners, Chagrin Falls, OH.  He is also the former chairman of The ESOP Association’s Communications Committee.

 

With over thirty years of experience, Ron Gilbert is a frequent speaker at ESOP and privatization seminars sponsored by The World Bank, The ESOP Association, The National Center for Employee Ownership, the Beyster Institute, the American Society of Financial Service Professionals, banks, insurance companies, national and state governments, etc., and has spoken in Argentina, Belarus, England, Estonia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Poland and Russia.

 

Ron Gilbert is co-editor and co-author of Employee Stock Ownership Plans:  ESOP Planning, Financing, Implementation, Law and Taxation, published by The Beyster Institute at the Rady School of Management, University of California San Diego, the most complete work on the subject.  He has also authored numerous ESOP articles for various publications, including the Journal of Employee Ownership, Law and Finance, and Selling to an ESOP, both published by The National Center for Employee Ownership.

 

Prior to co-founding ESOP Services, Inc., Ron was a Vice President with Kelso & Company in San Francisco.

Serving ESOP Services, Inc. as the Senior West Coast Representative since January of 2004, Paige is responsible for consulting services and business development. 

With over sixteen years of experience in finance, much of Paige’s career focus has been on pension and equity plans. Her endeavors, in addition to representing ESOP Services Inc., include establishing a consulting firm, providing financial management services, and serving as Assistant Vice President at the Foundation for Enterprise Development (FED), a non-profit company dedicated to promoting the development of entrepreneurialism and employee ownership worldwide. FED was founded in 1986 by Dr. Robert Beyster of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), and is one of the nation’s largest employee-owned companies.

Paige has provided guidance on design and implementation of ESOPs, equity compensation plans, and employee motivation programs.  She participated as a key member on team leading international business-training programs sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development, in the U. S. and abroad.

Graduating in 1990 with a Master of International Business from the University of San Diego, after completing her undergraduate studies at California State University, Long Beach in 1987, Paige began her career with hands on experience in benefit plan administration with an actuarial firm.

She served on the Board of Directors of Fete Accompli, Inc., an event planning company from 1995 to 2003, and Spincraft Engineering, Inc., an engineering design services firm, in 1998 and 1999.

Paige is an accomplished public speaker, and is a member of The ESOP Association, the National Center for Employee Ownership, the Association for Corporate Growth and the San Diego Rotary, Club 33, frequently speaking at the meetings of all three organizaaitons.

 


 

GREGORY W. FELDMANN

Special Advisor Consultant

 

Gregory W. “Greg” Feldmann serves as a Special Advisor to ESOP Services, Inc.     In this capacity Greg provides his perspective and expertise in matters of capital structuring. Greg currently serves as President and CEO of the banking subsidiary of StellarOne, one of the largest bank holding companies headquartered in Virginia.  Prior to joining StellarOne, Greg was co-founder and President of Gryphon Capital Advisors, Inc., a corporate finance advisory firm. In this capacity, Greg collaborated on numerous leveraged ESOP cases with ESOP Services over a span of approximately twelve years.  Before founding Gryphon Capital Advisors, he served as President of Dominion Capital Markets Corporation, the investment banking and private equity subsidiary of Dominion Bankshares Corporation.

 

Greg holds a B.A. degree in Classical Studies from Hampden-Sydney College, where he was a Baker Scholar and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and ODK.  He is also a former W. K. Kellogg Foundation National Leadership Fellow.

 

Greg serves on numerous corporate and civic Boards including, Bankers Insurance, LLC, the Roanoke Redevelopment & Housing Authority, the New VA Technology Council, Habitat for Humanity of the Roanoke Valley, Family Service of the Roanoke Valley, Blue Ridge Public TV and Kimoyo, Ltd.

 

Greg has lectured on the topic of corporate finance and venture capital at VPI & SU and Washington & Lee University School of Law.
