Ronald J. Gilbert (“Ron”) is cofounder and President of ESOP Services, Inc., an international consulting firm specializing in all aspects of Employee Stock Ownership Plan (“ESOP”) applications and ESOP privatization for private and public companies and government-owned entities. The firm’s clients are in a majority of the United States, Europe, and Latin America.
Ron Gilbert holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and a Master of Financial Services from The American College. He currently serves on the board of directors of The National Center for Employee Ownership, The ESOP Association’s Legislative and Regulatory Advisory Committee, and the board of directors of four ESOP companies. Ron has also served as an expert witness in ESOP litigation, and is the former chairman of The ESOP Association’s Communications Committee.
With over thirty years of experience, Ron Gilbert is a frequent speaker at ESOP and privatization seminars sponsored by The World Bank, The ESOP Association, The National Center for Employee Ownership, the Beyster Institute, The American College, banks, insurance companies, national and state governments, etc., and has spoken in Argentina, Belarus, England, Estonia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Poland and Russia.
Ron Gilbert is co-author and co-editor of Employee Stock Ownership Plans: ESOP Planning, Financing, Implementation, Law and Taxation, the most comprehensive work on the subject, published by the Beyster Institute. He has also authored numerous ESOP articles for various publishers, including the Brookings Institution Press and The National Center for Employee Ownership. Publications include the Journal of Employee Ownership, Law and Finance; Don’t Do That; and Selling to an ESOP.
Prior to cofounding ESOP Services, Inc., Ron was a Vice President of Kelso & Company in San Francisco, where he worked with Louis Kelso, the “father” of the ESOP.

Serving ESOP Services, Inc. as the Senior West Coast Representative, Paige is responsible for consulting services and business development.
With over twenty years of experience in finance, much of Paige’s career focus has been on pension and equity plans. Her endeavors have included the establishment of a consulting firm, providing financial management services, and serving as Assistant Vice President of the Foundation for Enterprise Development (FED), a non-profit company dedicated to promoting the development of entrepreneurialism and employee ownership worldwide. FED was founded in 1986 by Dr. Robert Beyster of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), and is one of the nation’s largest employee-owned companies.
Paige has provided guidance on design and implementation of ESOPs, equity compensation plans, and employee motivation programs. She has participated as a key member on team leading international business-training programs sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development, in the U. S. and abroad, as well as providing communication training services to the U.S. Marine Corps.
Paige holds a Master of International Business from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach and began her career with hands on experience in benefit plan administration with an actuarial firm.
Paige has previously served as a member of the board of directors of two privately-held companies. She is a member of and frequently speaks at seminars conducted by The ESOP Association, The National Center for Employee Ownership, the Association for Corporate Growth and other industry events.
